E.R.B. High Duty Hollow Paper Drill Bits are known worldwide and guarantee absolutely perfect holes and are suitable for highest speeds. Because of the perfect concentrical drilling they ensure easy emptying. They are produced of a high quality tool steel which guarantees a long tool life and a high edge retention.

E.R.B. Paper Drill Bits are available from 2,0 – 60,0 mm cutting diameter and can be operated in any drilling machine anywhere around the world. We can offer any type imaginable – please ask us!

Euro-Drill Bits

Made of a high quality tool steel which guarantees a long tool life with a high edge retention. Drill bits from 2,0 – 10,0 mm cutting-Ø are made with a Ø 11 mm shank. The medium sizes from 9,0 – 15,0 mm cutting-Ø are produced with Ø 16 mm shank. All paper drill bits which have a bigger cutting-Ø than 15 mm are clamped at the flange.

Different coatings are available such as: RT-1 (like TEFLON® only better) TiN, Hard Chromium, Tungsten-Carbide. Term of delivery: Most common sizes and types are in stock (otherwise 4 weeks)

US-Drill Bits

The drill bits can be produced in all cutting-Ø from 3/32″ = 2,38 mm to 1/2″ = 12,7 mm as well as in different cutting lengths.

Special Drill Bits

These drill bits are made exclusive for the appropriate special machines. They can be produced with all current cutting diameters, cutting lengths and coatings.

Punches

The shown punches are made mainly for heavy-duty punches. All punches with cutting-Ø 3,0 – 7,5 mm have a shank of Ø 8,0 or 10,0 mm. The medium sizes from cutting-Ø 8,0 – 9,5 mm have a shank of Ø 12,0 mm. Big sizes from cutting-Ø 10,0 – 12,0 mm are made with a shank of Ø 16,0 mm.

Coatings

On demand you can get all drill bits with different coatings. We recommend coated drill bits when it comes to coated paper, plastic, textiles, foils or rubber – they guarantee a long tool life.

Drilling tips

To prevent the drill bit from overheating, always avoid drilling too slow
Keep drill bits clean – a dirty and rusty drill bit will not permit the free upward passage of the drill chips that can lead to breakage
Clean drill bits after each usage and apply a light oil to the inside and outside to avoid rust
Lubricate drill bits, this helps to avoid overheating and drill chips will pass through easier

Set drill bits correctly, don`t cut too deep and it is essential to use a drill pad, which you should move and replace regularly
Check for drill bit wobble, if spindles are badly worn or bent, they should be replaced immediately
Keep drill bits sharp, a dull drill bit is the major cause of breakage, usually after about 8.000 – 10.000 holes, drill bit should be resharpened
